Gold Coast Bulletin reported Freedom St Clair’s on Nerang Street at Southport would drop the price of E10 between 10am and 11am on Wednesday as part of a special promotion with a local childcare centre.
While the offer was capped at 50 litres per person, RACQ spokesperson Renee Smith said drivers could save around 34 cents per litre (cpl) during the hour-long blitz.
“This is a steal for drivers and we’re urging them to get out and fill the tank if they’re in the area. With the price of E10 currently sitting on an average of 133cpl on the Coast, there are huge savings to be made,” Ms Smith said.
“Currently we’re in the cheap phase of the south east Queensland petrol price cycle, so right across the region, motorists need to take advantage of lower prices before they hike again.”
Drivers could download RACQ’s Fair Fuel Finder app to find out where the cheapest prices were in their area.
