The appointment was made at the ICA Board Meeting and Annual General Meeting held in Sydney on Thursday.
“John Myler has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience and will provide a strong and knowledgeable voice on behalf of Queenslanders,” Mr Turner said.
“Queensland weathers more than its fair share of natural disasters, so it’s reassuring to know that, once again, RACQ will advocate for its members and shape positive change and continual improvement for this important industry.”
The ICA Board said it was looking forward to utilising John’s expertise, knowledge and perspective to help shape the ICA’s response to the regulatory, political and climate change challenges facing the insurance industry.
The ICA Board now has 13 Directors.
