RACQ spokesperson Lucinda Ross said the headline act at this year’s event is Volkswagen Beetle, with more than 50 of the German car maker’s vehicles going on display.
“Memorable car designs do not come more iconic than the VW Beetle, and this year we’re lucky to have ‘Herbie the Love Bug’ along for the fun,” Ms Ross said.
“It’s not just about the Volkswagen – there’ll be more than 500 classic cars and vintage motorcycles.”
Ms Ross said while collectable vehicles are the main event, there will be plenty on offer for the entire family.
“This year we have a Coffee Corner, which includes a selection of roasters from SEQ. You can try as many different roasts as you like for just $2 per sample’ ,” Ms Ross said.
“Children can look forward to the free amusement rides, roving entertainers, face painting and the petting zoo. The big kids will love the rock climbing wall and the photo booth.”
“The best part is it’s just $2 per person to come through the gate, with children under three free.”
RACQ MotorFest begins 10am at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Sunday 15 July.
